Jimmy Kiddell is an award-winning designer and director with over 20 years of experience working for world class studios such as The Mill and Passion Pictures.
After studying Illustration and Animation he created Matte paintings for A Knights Tale and Harry Potter he won a VES award for Outstanding Created Environment for the tv drama Elizabeth.
Following a period of freelancing as a concept artist, Jimmy spent years establishing and building The Mills art department. His team developed concept art and matte paintings for a variety of clients including Guinness, Audi, Jaguar, Legoland, Rolex, Greenpeace and John Lewis. Success continued as he became a creative director and led a large team of VFX artists that resulted in a Golden Arrow award for Range Rover’s - ‘Accelerator’ commercial. He went on to direct the highly acclaimed commercial for Netto - ‘The Easter Surprise’ winning a Eurobest award and a New York Festivals first prize award.
A combination of great people skills, strong design ability, a good sense of humour, and a love of creating quality entertainment have allowed Jimmy to flourish across a broad spectrum of projects.
Recently, Jimmy has provided visual development for several kids tv shows, concept art for various studios and continues to direct commercials.
